Are shops in the US covered from head to toe in Halloween stuff? Cus' I was in the shops today and there was a sign up for Diwali and whole bunch of Christmas stuff but not a single thing for Halloween. Also haven't seen any Halloween decorations on houses, but they're all locked behind walls anyway.. Halloween's not a big thing here at all.

I wonder why Christmas still has it's religious meaning but not Halloween? Most people don't even know it's a Christian holiday. The actual name of Halloween is "All Hallows-eve", which implies an All Hallows Day, which there is: 1st November (obviously), or "All Saint's Day"; a day to remember and praise the saints. Traditionally it's believed that on All Saint's Day the "membrane", if you will, between the Heavens and Earth is it's thinnest, thus on it's eve spirits are free to travel between the two, which is where the Halloween tradition comes from.

Honestly Halloween to me is more a siren to the start of November, if you know what I mean, more than anything else. I hope you had twice a fun Halloween on my behalf. No drawing or anything I'm starting to get busy with end of year exams. Here's a silly South Park clip I remembered when I was thinking about this Christmas-Halloween thing.
