Average middle American mall experience.

It's interesting. Not super unique. The art style doesn't really stand out. It's nice though. The way the eyes make up most the face is cool (and also something I do alot in my own shitty art). The facial expressions are really good, and the film as a whole has a very cool vibe to it, but the story, like alot of similar simile style films, is eh. I think it falls into the trap of many horror and/or abstract films, where the creator focuses so much on allegory and atmosphere that he forgets about the story and viewing of the film itself.

Sometimes the art style is a bit inconsistent, I'm guessing it's done by different animators, or different groups of animators. My favourite of these tiny mini styles would probably be about 1:42, thick strokes and exaggerated features is something I really enjoy. The following transition from there was pretty cool too. The facial movement at 2:10 is pretty funny and well made. The art style does lend itself more to comedy. Most animation really, but I kept on waiting for a slapstick joke to break the atmosphere and switch register, but it didn't happen. Reading the description, maybe what you don't like about this, just a thought, is that it's a serious film in a light hearted style.

It's nice, and well made. Generally the art is good. Nothing hugely groundbreaking, but nice to look at most the time. The story though just doesn't do it for me too much. Just personal preference. I'm more into less heavy films. Doesn't have to be a comedy. Just not something trying so hard to hide meaning it destroys the scene it's hiding in.

That's sounds like alot of pissing but really it is good. I felt like doing a long review, and when I do that, I focus on what's bad, not what's good, because that's what judging and reviewing is.

Some awesome movement and style. The contrast in the beginning, and the dream? or smth? is pretty cool. I LOVE the throwing of the book!! Difficult motion, and done really naturally! Story is interesting. Love a good tale with no words. The chalk-like art looked really cool and unique! It's got nice setting to it! The "vibe" that is. Atmosphere.

Deserves more than 3.65 imo :((

It's unusual for an OSC to get a daily award, no less 2nd, but as far as OSCs go, and really just in general, this is pretty good! The lip sync is good, some nice fluid motion, VA is, eh, but it's fine. I love OSC; they're so quaint, yk? I dunno. Usually they're VERY simple art wise, but the combination of the quant nature of OCS and the decent art style is cool!

That said, it's still fairly simple, as OCS should be, but honestly that's for me what makes the genre so cute and unique!
